Chapter 2: Teamwork
The gatekeeper stood at his usual spot, just beside the steel gate that prevented access to Vaz's catacombs. His eyes were closed, his expression solemn. The old lizard appeared to be in a state of mediation. Scaly hands were wrapped around a staff that stood in front of him, allowing the elder to lean slightly upon it. Little could be seen beyond the natural light that reached inside the walls of the island's underground network. The two could see a torch that was placed far into the darkness, providing a spot of light to the path. As they approached, the robed figure's eyes opened and he nodded slight

The routine only changes if her instructors change it.
This was just part of her life on Vaz. The island was alone. All one could see from its highest point was the surrounding ocean. The island serves as a training school for her and many other students of combat.
Zira has been

Zira could hear that familiar sound, the horns that greeted everyone on the island at this morning hour. It was the signal for all the students to get out of bed and begin following their daily routines. She quickly climbed out of her small bed and stretched for a moment. A yawn was released from her mouth. She was up late last night to prepare for what she was going to face today. Once she finally felt awake, she knelt down and looked under her bed. Her rifle laid on the wooden floor, waiting for her to take hold of it again. She reached for it and pulled it out from the bed's shadow, bringing it into the

Chapter 8: Meeting the Love of his Life
----------
Dear Diary, There can be times when life can be so wonderful its like living in a dream. Aranelion, though he was badly injured in that accident and comatose for two months, has returned to us, and asked me to marry him even as his voice was still weak from fatigue. I love him so much; he makes life worth living no matter how dark times may get. Of course, there are times when life can be very scary. Tonight, with Aranelion getting out of the hospit
It was the perfect day to go to the zoo for Chaoshi and his family. The sun was shining in a clear sky, the temperature was mild and a nice afternoon breeze was blowing.
Chaoshi had taken the lead while he held his young daughter's free hand as they walked down the path. As they passed by a few animals, he would point them out to her and give a little explanation about them. The girl kept a grin on her face as she learned, although she often turned her attention back to the strawberry ice cream cone that was in her other hand. Serenity stayed closed behind, watching as the father daughter bonded.
